Good morning world! I have recently decided to try dieting not only to lose weight but to begin a healthier lifestyle. I have started a diet plan with www.specialk.com which gives you wonderful recipes daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks! Well, mi amour and I are very out of shape and I imagine not in the healthiest form. Well, it is day three of my diet, yesterday I kind of cheated and ate a ton of chocolate. Chocolate is ok, just in moderation.
Well, my diet plan suggests I keep a journal, so I have decided to use this blog as my diet journal! I won't be posting "before" pictures until I get to my goal weight, however I will be sharing my meals including pictures. I am pretty excited. Mi amour and I had a serious talk about health and dieting last night and went to the grocery store to get some ingredients for healthier meals. Did you know for tuna/chicken salad you can substitute low fat plain yogurt for mayo? I'm excited to try that!
Well, I am getting my day started kind of late. However, I ate breakfast at 10:30 (my recommended breakfast snack time) I made something I saw on pinterest the other day. I sliced an onion ring (but did not bread!) put on my flat skillet with two turkey sausage links, I let the onion cook on both sides for a few minutes. Then added an egg into the middle of the ring and allowed to cook all the way through, I put a small saucer on the top so it would cook completely so I wouldn't have to flip the egg. Then I added cilantro, allowed to cook some more, added sliced cheddar/mozzarella (a mixed slice of cheese) allowed to melt, and added to my plate of sliced strawberries! If you can't tell, I LOVE to cook and YES! I AM a foodie!
Well, I must get a move on! Going to bike 8 miles today! (well, everyday....)
